SHORT-TERM WORK VISAS

CHARITY WORKER – TEMPORARY

If you meet the following criteria, you can apply for a Temporary Work – Charity Worker visa:

You wish to volunteer for a charity for free.

You also match the other eligibility criteria.

The Temporary Worker – Charity Worker visa has been replaced by this one (T5).

Before you may apply to work in the UK, you must first obtain a certificate of sponsorship from a licenced employer.

Your activities in the United Kingdom must be related to the work of your sponsoring organisation.

CREATIVE WORKER – TEMPORARY

If you meet the following criteria, you must apply for a Temporary Work – Creative Worker visa:

You’ve been given a job as a creative worker in the United Kingdom.

You also match the other eligibility criteria.

A creative worker is someone who works in the arts, such as an actress, dancer, musician, or part of a film crew.

The Temporary Worker – Creative and Sporting visa has been replaced by this one (T5). With the International Sportsperson visa, you can work in the United Kingdom as a sportsperson.

GOVERNMENT AUTHORISED EXCHANGE

 

INTERNATIONAL AGREEMENT

If you’ll be contracted to conduct work protected by international law or treaty while in the UK, you can apply for a Temporary Work – International Agreement visa. This comprises the following tasks:

For an international organisation or a foreign government

Working as a private servant in a diplomatic residence

As a domestic employee of someone who works for a “recognised international organisation”

The Temporary Worker – International Agreement Worker visa has been replaced by this one (T5).

Before you may apply to come to the UK, you must be sponsored (have a certificate of sponsorship from a permitted employer).

Your activities in the United Kingdom must be related to the work of your sponsoring organisation.

SEASONAL WORKER

For up to 6 months, you can apply for a Seasonal Worker visa to travel to the UK and work in horticulture, such as picking fruit and vegetables or flowers.

You can no longer apply for poultry job, ‘pork butchery,’ or to transport food in a large goods vehicle.

You’ll need to do the following:
Obtain a sponsor.
Other eligibility requirements must be met.
The Temporary Worker – Seasonal Worker visa has been replaced by this one (T5).

YOUTH MOBILITY SCHEME

If you meet the following criteria, you can apply for a Youth Mobility Scheme visa:

wish to live and work in the United Kingdom for a period of up to two years

are between 18 and 30 years old

have £2,530 in the bank

have a certain sort of British nationality or come from a specific country or territory

meet any other qualifying criteria

The Youth Mobility Scheme visa has been replaced with this visa (T5).

GRADUATE Visa or PSW

After successfully finishing a programme in the UK, a Graduate visa allows you to stay in the UK for at least two years.

When you apply, you must be in the United Kingdom.
If all of the following are true, you can apply for a Graduate visa:

You are currently on a Student visa or a Tier 4 (General) student visa.

With your Student visa or Tier 4 (generic) student visa, you studied a UK bachelor’s degree, postgraduate degree, or other qualified programme for a minimum period of time.

Your education provider has informed the Home Office that you have completed your course satisfactorily.

If you’re not sure whether your education provider has informed the Home Office that you’ve completed your course, you can ask them.
